Since the Grammy-winning success "Cause and Effect" (2008), Maria Mena toured to packed houses, performing in several of Europe's biggest festivals and featured on the charts in several countries. The sequel "Viktoria", her fifth overall, is characterized as dark - but this time the focus is on forgiveness, not anger.

The singles "This Too Shall Pass" and "Homeless" are fine representatives of Mena's ability to make both driving Pop songs and melancholy ballads, and Viktoria is an album where she displays the full range of her vocal abilities. The expression is dramatic, but also beautiful and accessible and she emerges as an increasingly confident and exploratory artist.

Like "Cause and Effect", "Viktoria" is also produced by Martin Sjølie.
